Emyra — Making Healthcare More Human
In a city known for healthcare, Emyra is building toward a more personalized future for medicine. Their medication intelligence platform helps turn complex patient data into clearer prescribing decisions.

Nashville gave Ryan what every healthcare founder needs early: access to the right people who understand the problem from every angle.
Medication-related harm is one of healthcare’s most persistent challenges. More than 1.5 million people visit emergency departments each year because of adverse drug events, and research suggests that nearly all individuals carry at least one actionable genetic variant that may affect how they respond to medication.
Ryan saw an opportunity to make prescribing more personal, more informed and less reactive.

Emyra is building an end-to-end medication intelligence platform that brings together genetic insights, medication history, patient-reported outcomes, longitudinal health data, and clinical context to help clinicians make better prescribing decisions.
But Ryan is not building around AI for AI’s sake. He is building around real feedback from the people closest to care, made possible by the proximity and connectivity of Nashville’s healthcare community.
“What I think separates Nashville from other cities is really just the community,” Ryan said.
As a healthcare capital home to more than 900 healthcare companies, Nashville gave Emyra access to the people and perspectives needed to make the platform possible. Through Belmont University’s medical school, Torch Collective and Lipscomb University’s pharmacy department, Ryan found collaborators who helped pressure-test Emyra’s product, validate its AI-enabled approach, and keep the company grounded in real clinical needs.
Ryan envisions Emyra as a leader in personalized care, making medication intelligence part of everyday healthcare. In Nashville, that future is being built with the right co-writers.
